CB Lucknow: Rainwater harvesting for recharging groundwater

Lucknow Cantonment Board has constructed Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting system in Cantt Board office, R.A. Bazar School, Mangla Devi School and Rainbow School, Lucknow Cantt. for recharging ground water at a cost of Rs. 27.83 Lacs. Rooftop rainwater harvesting system is adopted as it is a sustainable practice that involves collecting rainwater from rooftops and directing it to pits/ tanks and into the ground through a borewell to replenish groundwater.
