    Hiring of Lands and Buildings

    • DGDE processes proposals for hiring & dehiring and requisitioning & derequisitioning of immovable properties for defence purposes.

    • Sanction/ release of funds towards rentals and other compensation of the hired/requisitioned properties.

    • Processing  proposals of ex-gratia payments/compensation to  people whose properties are used /damaged during operations / mobilisation of defence forces
       

    Presently 3117 buildings and about 72,386 acres of land (both private and State Govt. owned) are under hiring with Ministry of Defence.  About 13,250 acres of land is under requisition.
